Short version: no accounts, no ads, no tracking cookies. What you type stays in your browser until you export, and exported files are deleted after 24 hours.
In your browser
Your drafts (scripts, settings, photos) are saved in your browser's local storage so they're still there next time. They never leave your device until you export. Clearing your site data deletes them.
When you export
To render a video or screenshot, your conversation and its photos are sent to our server. The rendered file and the uploaded photos are stored for up to 24 hours so you can download them, then deleted automatically. Anyone with a file's link can open it during that time; the links are long and random, so they can't be guessed.
Logs and limits
To enforce fair-use limits, the server keeps a count of recent renders per IP address in memory for about an hour. Our hosting provider may keep standard access logs for security.
AI connectors
When you use txtreel from Claude or ChatGPT, the assistant sends us the conversation to render and gets a link back. What happens inside those assistants is covered by Anthropic's and OpenAI's own privacy policies.
